Daniel Miktus practices in the areas of litigation, construction, surety, and education law, and has considerable experience representing clients in the litigation of private and public construction and surety disputes.  He has advocated before courts in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland, and has represented clients in the Civilian and Armed Forces Boards of Contract Appeals as well as the D.C. Contract Appeals Board.  Daniel has also represented clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Prior to joining Faughnan Mendicino PLLC, Daniel attended the George Mason University School of Law, where he served as the Production Editor of the George Mason Law Review and graduated magna cum laude.  During his time at George Mason, he worked with the Center for Infrastructure Protection and National Security, where he helped to evaluate and develop policies to safeguard  and harden national, state, local, and tribal critical infrastructure.  He also worked with Pepco Holdings, Inc. in practice areas including litigation, contract negotiation and preparation, employment and human resources, cybersecurity, and government compliance.  Finally, Daniel also served as an intern with the U.S. Department of Justice where he assisted in federal trial and appellate court proceedings pertaining to the Immigration and Nationality Act.
